# LiveUp vs DIY

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DIY at none against LiveUp's 3. DIY also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.2). LiveUp's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LiveUp sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. DIY asks for nothing beyond the download.

LiveUp ships an update fortnightly, DIY monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
