# Ecotrak Techs vs KinectMax

The clearest difference is rating: KinectMax at 5.0 against Ecotrak Techs's 3.9. KinectMax also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 2 months). Ecotrak Techs's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

KinectMax holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ecotrak Techs has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
