# Melt and Fill vs Tool Evolution

The clearest difference is rating: Tool Evolution at 4.7 against Melt and Fill's 4.3. Tool Evolution also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 508). Melt and Fill's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Melt and Fill sells 18 one-off in-app purchases and Tool Evolution sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tool Evolution holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tool Evolution has 12K ratings behind it against 508, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Melt and Fill's written reviews are positive against 20% of Tool Evolution's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
