# Countdown Stream vs Whenlyy

The clearest difference is update cadence: Countdown Stream at every 3 weeks against Whenlyy's every 4 months. Countdown Stream also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown Stream sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Whenlyy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown Stream ships an update every 3 weeks, Whenlyy every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
