# Hue Hunter vs Colorma

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Colorma at 1.2K against Hue Hunter's 9. Colorma also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.1). Hue Hunter's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 76%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hue Hunter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Colorma sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Hue Hunter against 4.9 for Colorma. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Colorma has 1.2K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Hue Hunter's written reviews are positive against 76% of Colorma's.

Hue Hunter ships an update every 3 days, Colorma every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
