# Gamma AI vs AI Chat

The clearest difference is rating: AI Chat at 4.8 against Gamma AI's 4.6. AI Chat also leads on ratings volume (115 vs 9) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gamma AI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and AI Chat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Chat holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Chat has 115 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Gamma AI ships an update monthly, AI Chat fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
