# Fishtechy vs Catchr

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Fishtechy at none against Catchr's 20. Fishtechy also leads on review sentiment (42% vs 29%) and iOS requirement (15.4 vs 17.0). Catchr's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (4.9K vs 183). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Catchr sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Fishtechy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Catchr holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Catchr has 4.9K ratings behind it against 183, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Fishtechy's written reviews are positive against 29% of Catchr's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fishtechy ships an update every 5 days, Catchr weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
