# DateTracker vs UpVPN

The clearest difference is price: UpVPN at Free against DateTracker's $0.99. UpVPN also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 38 months) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). DateTracker's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5). On rating, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

UpVPN is free to download; DateTracker costs $0.99 up front. UpVPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per year. DateTracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

DateTracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UpVPN has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DateTracker ships an update every 38 months, UpVPN every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
