# WLED Pro vs Bosso Lights

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Bosso Lights at 54% against WLED Pro's 9%. Bosso Lights also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (140 vs 15). WLED Pro's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.6). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WLED Pro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Bosso Lights asks for nothing beyond the download.

WLED Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bosso Lights has 140 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of WLED Pro's written reviews are positive against 54% of Bosso Lights's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WLED Pro ships an update every 6 weeks, Bosso Lights every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
