# Snap vs The Gems Mobile App

The clearest difference is monetization model: The Gems Mobile App at free against Snap's ad-supported. The Gems Mobile App also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.6). Snap's advantage is device support. On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
