# Tinker DIY vs ContinentalGo

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Tinker DIY at 2K against ContinentalGo's 47. ContinentalGo's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Tinker DIY against 4.8 for ContinentalGo. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tinker DIY has 2K ratings behind it against 47, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tinker DIY ships an update every 3 weeks, ContinentalGo fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
