# Detective Notes vs GameGet

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GameGet at none against Detective Notes's 1. GameGet also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Detective Notes's advantage is ratings volume (218 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Detective Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. GameGet asks for nothing beyond the download.

GameGet holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Detective Notes has 218 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Detective Notes ships an update every 2 weeks, GameGet every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
