# Ghost vs Second Phone Number

The clearest difference is monetization model: Second Phone Number at free with in-app purchases against Ghost's subscription. Second Phone Number also leads on chart position (#136 vs unranked). Ghost's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (7.7K vs 918). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ghost sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Second Phone Number sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ghost holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ghost has 7.7K ratings behind it against 918, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Ghost's written reviews are positive against 64% of Second Phone Number's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ghost ships an update every 9 days, Second Phone Number fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
