# Archivist vs foldy

The clearest difference is update cadence: foldy at every 9 days against Archivist's monthly. Archivist's advantage is iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Archivist sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and foldy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Archivist ships an update monthly, foldy every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
