# Moblin vs CoverMotion

The clearest difference is update cadence: CoverMotion at every 2 days against Moblin's every 2 weeks. CoverMotion also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Moblin's advantage is ratings volume (76 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moblin sells 16 one-off in-app purchases and CoverMotion sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CoverMotion holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moblin has 76 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Moblin ships an update every 2 weeks, CoverMotion every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
