# Practice Lock | Combination vs SSL Now

The clearest difference is update cadence: SSL Now at every 3 days against Practice Lock | Combination's every 3 months. SSL Now also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Practice Lock | Combination's advantage is ratings volume (3.4K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Practice Lock | Combination sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and SSL Now sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SSL Now holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Practice Lock | Combination has 3.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Practice Lock | Combination ships an update every 3 months, SSL Now every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
