# MTour vs WanderMap

MTour and WanderMap both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 70% of WanderMap's written reviews are positive against 52% of MTour's. MTour's advantage is ratings volume (41 vs 3). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MTour sells 20 one-off in-app purchases and WanderMap sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for MTour against 5.0 for WanderMap. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MTour has 41 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 52% of MTour's written reviews are positive against 70% of WanderMap's.

MTour ships an update monthly, WanderMap every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
