Photograph what you eat. That is the whole job. Foodakl reads the plate — every component, one at a time — and keeps the record for you. No searching a database for "chicken, grilled, skinless". No weighing. No typing a number you had to guess anyway. It reads the plate, item by item Rice, roti, curry, the oil you cannot see: each one named, portioned and counted on its own, so the total is built from parts you can check rather than one guess you cannot. Every number says how sure it is High, medium or low, with the reason in plain words — "standard rice mound portion clearly visible". When the plate is genuinely ambiguous, it asks: which meat, what is inside the sandwich, was that fried or baked. Estimated numbers are written with a ~ so you always know which ones are estimates. When there was no photograph A meal you missed, a coffee on the way, a packet eaten at your desk: search a library of close to three thousand everyday dishes and staples across forty-one kitchens, and log it by name in a couple of taps. The camera is the fast path, never the only one. Your record, not a streak toy Every plate you have ever logged, searchable and filterable, as a list, a calendar or a wall of pictures. Export it whenever you like. Unlogged days are gaps, never zeros, because a day you did not photograph is not a day you did not eat. The other half of the picture Weigh-ins, measurements and progress photos, all kept on your device. Workouts too: seven hundred exercises with demonstrations and cues, guided timers, ready-made plans and a builder for your own — plus a companion stone that grows for as long as you keep turning up. Meals, water and weigh-ins can go out to Apple Health or Health Connect, and your steps and scale readings come back in. Water, coffee, and the hours in between Glasses, caffeine and supplements counted alongside the food — often read straight off the same photograph. Fasting windows you set yourself, including dawn-to-dusk, timed to wherever you actually are. The pattern, once there is one A week of your own record read back to you as observations, never instructions. What the eating is doing to the weight line. Where the protein actually came from. Your whole journey drawn as one path from the day you started. It waits until it has enough to say something true. One idea for tonight When you cannot decide, the Draw gives you a single suggestion that fits the room you have left, from food you already eat or a kitchen you have not tried. --- What Foodakl will not do It does not moralise. There is no green tick for a salad and no red warning for a slice of cake. It has no opinion about your body and never asks for a before-and-after photograph. The photograph is not kept. A reduced copy of one plate goes out to be read. Our server never writes it to disk, logs it or stores it, and the service that reads it keeps requests for a limited time only to detect abuse — never to train. The original never leaves your phone, and progress photos never travel at all. Your record is never held hostage by a subscription — export it, back it up, or delete it, paid or not. Not a medical device. Foodakl estimates and records. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition; for medical advice, talk to a healthcare professional. --- Free for seven days, then $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year. No card to start the trial. Free after that is the whole app minus the readings, because looking at a plate costs real money every time.
