# Freedom Chat vs frgmnts

Freedom Chat and frgmnts both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of frgmnts's written reviews are positive against 88% of Freedom Chat's. Freedom Chat's advantage is ratings volume (117 vs 14) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Freedom Chat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and frgmnts sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

frgmnts holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freedom Chat has 117 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two.
