# Modern Gents vs DIFF Eyewear

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Modern Gents at 92% against DIFF Eyewear's 70%. Modern Gents also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). DIFF Eyewear's advantage is ratings volume (826 vs 18) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DIFF Eyewear holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DIFF Eyewear has 826 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Modern Gents's written reviews are positive against 70% of DIFF Eyewear's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Modern Gents ships an update every 3 weeks, DIFF Eyewear monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
