# Everywhere Is Queer vs qcal

The clearest difference is update cadence: qcal at weekly against Everywhere Is Queer's every 2 months. qcal also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Everywhere Is Queer's advantage is ratings volume (626 vs 14) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Everywhere Is Queer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Everywhere Is Queer has 626 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of Everywhere Is Queer's written reviews are positive against 100% of qcal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Everywhere Is Queer ships an update every 2 months, qcal weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
