# MiniMap Radar vs Game Maps IRL

MiniMap Radar and Game Maps IRL both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of MiniMap Radar's written reviews are positive against 19% of Game Maps IRL's. Game Maps IRL's advantage is price (Free vs $1.99) and ratings volume (30K vs 19). On rating, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Game Maps IRL is free to download; MiniMap Radar costs $1.99 up front. MiniMap Radar sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Game Maps IRL sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Game Maps IRL holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Game Maps IRL has 30K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of MiniMap Radar's written reviews are positive against 19% of Game Maps IRL's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MiniMap Radar ships an update every 3 weeks, Game Maps IRL every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
