# RedCap vs redcup™

The clearest difference is rating: redcup™ at 5.0 against RedCap's 4.5. redcup™ also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). RedCap's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (24 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

redcup™ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RedCap has 24 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RedCap ships an update weekly, redcup™ fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
