# Block Blast vs Color Blast

The clearest difference is update cadence: Color Blast at daily against Block Blast's monthly. Color Blast also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Block Blast sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Color Blast sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Block Blast against 5.0 for Color Blast. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Color Blast has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Block Blast ships an update monthly, Color Blast daily. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
