# Crimes vs Clueprit

Crimes and Clueprit both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 56% of Crimes's written reviews are positive against 25% of Clueprit's. Crimes also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). Clueprit's advantage is ratings volume (59 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crimes sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Clueprit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Crimes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clueprit has 59 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of Crimes's written reviews are positive against 25% of Clueprit's.

Crimes ships an update every 2 weeks, Clueprit every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
