# The Da Vinci Cryptex vs Go Cryptic

The clearest difference is rating: Go Cryptic at 5.0 against The Da Vinci Cryptex's 4.3. Go Cryptic also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months). The Da Vinci Cryptex's advantage is ratings volume (43 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Da Vinci Cryptex sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Go Cryptic sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Go Cryptic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Da Vinci Cryptex has 43 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
