# Sakura vs Cosplan

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Sakura at 22K against Cosplan's 4. Sakura also leads on chart position (#163 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.1). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sakura sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.00 per month and Cosplan sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Sakura against 4.8 for Cosplan. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sakura has 22K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 97% of Sakura's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cosplan's.

Sakura ships an update every 3 weeks, Cosplan every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
