# Video Summarizer vs SumIt AI

The clearest difference is update cadence: Video Summarizer at every 3 weeks against SumIt AI's every 7 months. Video Summarizer also leads on ratings volume (157 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). SumIt AI's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Summarizer sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and SumIt AI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SumIt AI holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Summarizer has 157 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Video Summarizer ships an update every 3 weeks, SumIt AI every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
