# CompTIA Security+ Exam Test vs CertFlash

The clearest difference is ads: CertFlash at none against CompTIA Security+ Exam Test's shown. CertFlash also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 6 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). CompTIA Security+ Exam Test's advantage is ratings volume (705 vs 3) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CompTIA Security+ Exam Test sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month and CertFlash sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CertFlash holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CompTIA Security+ Exam Test has 705 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CompTIA Security+ Exam Test ships an update every 6 weeks, CertFlash every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
