# WriteOn vs Citer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WriteOn at 100% against Citer's 0%. WriteOn also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Citer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WriteOn sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Citer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
