# Talkpal vs Flow

The clearest difference is rating: Talkpal at 4.7 against Flow's 1.0. Talkpal also leads on ratings volume (4K vs 1) and chart position (#153 vs unranked). Flow's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 58%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Talkpal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Flow sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Talkpal holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Talkpal has 4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Talkpal's written reviews are positive against 67% of Flow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Talkpal ships an update every 9 days, Flow weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
