# Talkpal vs Cappy

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Talkpal at 3.9K against Cappy's 3. Talkpal also leads on chart position (#197 vs unranked). Cappy's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Talkpal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Cappy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cappy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Talkpal has 3.9K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Talkpal ships an update every 9 days, Cappy fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
