# Talkpal vs Luna

The clearest difference is ads: Talkpal at none against Luna's shown. Talkpal also leads on ratings volume (4K vs 6) and chart position (#117 vs unranked). Luna's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 10 days). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Talkpal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Luna sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Luna holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Talkpal has 4K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Talkpal ships an update every 10 days, Luna daily. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
