# Talkpal vs Fathomly

The clearest difference is rating: Talkpal at 4.7 against Fathomly's 4.0. Talkpal also leads on ratings volume (4K vs 2) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Talkpal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Fathomly sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Talkpal holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Talkpal has 4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Talkpal ships an update every 9 days, Fathomly every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
