# MyVirtualPeer vs PrepTalk

The clearest difference is rating: PrepTalk at 4.7 against MyVirtualPeer's 3.7. PrepTalk also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). MyVirtualPeer's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.2). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyVirtualPeer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and PrepTalk sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PrepTalk holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 16 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of MyVirtualPeer's written reviews are positive against 92% of PrepTalk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyVirtualPeer ships an update every 4 weeks, PrepTalk weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
