# Backcast vs Vvaago

The clearest difference is ads: Backcast at none against Vvaago's shown. Backcast also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). Vvaago's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Backcast ships an update every 5 weeks, Vvaago every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
