# Backcast vs Tribbly

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Backcast at none against Tribbly's 10. Backcast also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). Tribbly's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Backcast ships an update every 5 weeks, Tribbly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
