# Sooper Books vs ChantCode

The clearest difference is rating: ChantCode at 5.0 against Sooper Books's 3.9. ChantCode also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Sooper Books's advantage is ratings volume (19 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sooper Books sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and ChantCode sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ChantCode holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sooper Books has 19 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sooper Books ships an update every 3 weeks, ChantCode every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
