Am I Secure? performs forensic analysis of your iPhone or iPad to find signs of compromise. If you are a journalist, activist, executive, lawyer, government official or anyone with reason to think you may be of interest to a sophisticated adversary, this app is built for you. The same applies if you hold digital assets in self-custody. The device holding your keys is the target, and that device is what Am I Secure? examines. WHAT A COMPROMISED DEVICE MEANS Your whole life is on your phone. Private messages, email, photos, contacts, financial information. If you can read it, so can someone who has compromised the device. Encryption protects your messages in transit; it does not protect anything once the device itself is under someone else's control. An attacker in that position can read your messages before they are encrypted and after they are decrypted, see your location, take your stored credentials, and reach any account you are signed in to. They can listen through the microphone to conversations in the room, record through the camera, and follow your movements. There is generally no way to tell from using the device. WHY THIS REQUIRES A DIFFERENT APPROACH iOS is among the most secure consumer platforms available. iOS does not let any app, including security apps, look outside its own container or "sandbox". No security app on your device can inspect the processes, the filesystem, or the behavior of the rest of the system. That is a deliberate security property of the platform, and it is why an app running on your phone can only report on your settings, not on what is actually running. Am I Secure? works differently. You generate a system diagnostic "sysdiagnose" file using the tool built into iOS. That file is produced by the operating system itself, not by us, and it contains a detailed record of processes, logs, and system state. You share that file with the app, which uploads it to our servers. We analyze it and report what we find. The diagnostic file is end-to-end encrypted on your device before it is uploaded and stays encrypted until it reaches hardware we own and operate in our own facilities in Canada and the European Union (EU). It is not decrypted or accessible by any third party, including intermediary data center and network operators. Once analysis is complete the file is deleted. A HUMAN REVIEWS ANYTHING UNUSUAL Where our automated analysis flags something, our team examines the results by hand before anything is reported to you. The same automated analysis pipeline is used by our government clients via our on-premises Private Protection suite. WE LOOK FOR ANOMALIES, NOT JUST KNOWN INDICATORS Most detection tools match against published indicators of compromise. The moment those indicators become public, the operators behind commercial surveillance tools change their software to avoid them, and signature matching stops working against the new version. We compare your device against a baseline of expected iOS behavior instead. That can surface anomalies that do not match public indicators. Check suspicious links. Understand scam warning signs. Take a closer look at your phone security. Avo Pro brings together device checks, link analysis, email breach monitoring and Family Protection Shield. Start with free tools for everyday checks, or choose PRO for additional protection and monitoring. MORE PROTECTION WITH PRO SECURITY SHIELD Help block known harmful, phishing and tracker domains while the shield is active. A familiar company name or convincing logo does not prove that a website is genuine. Treat unexpected requests to sign in, pay a charge or share personal information with caution. Use protection alongside careful browsing habits. EMAIL BREACH CHECK Check whether an email address appears in known public data breaches and review guidance on what to do next. A breach record is a reason to review the affected account. It does not automatically mean someone currently has access to it. If you have reused a password, consider the other accounts that may also need attention. BREACH ALERTS Receive notifications when your monitored email appears in additional recorded breaches. An email address can be connected to years of shopping, social media and other online accounts. Make account security an ongoing habit: use unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication wherever available. AI SCAM CHECKER Paste a suspicious text, email or message to assess potential scam indicators, with explanations and suggested next steps. Unexpected delivery fees, urgent payment requests and account warnings can pressure you to act quickly. Pause, review the request and verify it independently before sharing information or sending money. FREE TOOLS FOR EVERYDAY CHECKS DEVICE & WI-FI CHECK Review iOS update status, passcode and biometric settings, jailbreak indicators, and whether your current Wi-Fi network is open. Follow guidance for supported findings. Give your phone's security settings the same attention you give the accounts you use on it. Keep iOS updated and protect access to your device with a strong passcode. LINK CHECKER Check suspicious URLs for phishing and scam indicators before opening them. Before following an unexpected link, ask whether you were expecting the message and whether the request makes sense. If in doubt, reach the company through its official app or website instead. QR SCANNER Review the destination behind a QR code before visiting the link. QR codes can lead to websites just like ordinary links. Take a moment to check the destination before entering login details, payment information or other personal data. MAKE CHECKING PART OF YOUR ROUTINE Never share passwords or verification codes in response to an unexpected request. Security tools can help inform your decisions, while careful account and browsing habits remain essential. UNDERSTAND YOUR PROTECTION Avo Pro does not scan other apps, and iOS does not allow any app to do so. Its checks and filtering cannot identify every threat. Wi-Fi results do not certify an entire network as safe, and breach searches are limited to available records. Start with the free tools and explore PRO when you want its additional features. PURCHASES & SUBSCRIPTIONS ——— This app offers an auto-renewable subscription ($29.99/year, $12.99/month). Payment is charged to your Apple Account at purchase confirmation. It renews automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings. Prices may vary by region. The Yearly plan includes a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid yearly subscription at the price above. A one-time lifetime purchase is also available.
