# Talknotes vs VendBuddy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: VendBuddy at 100% against Talknotes's 56%. VendBuddy also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and ads (none vs shown). Talknotes's advantage is ratings volume (52 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Talknotes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and VendBuddy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $15.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VendBuddy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Talknotes has 52 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of Talknotes's written reviews are positive against 100% of VendBuddy's.

Talknotes ships an update every 2 weeks, VendBuddy every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
