# Talknotes vs Canary

The clearest difference is rating: Canary at 5.0 against Talknotes's 4.4. Canary also leads on ads (none vs shown). Talknotes's advantage is ratings volume (52 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Talknotes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Canary sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Canary holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Talknotes has 52 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
