# PgMP Exam Simulator vs PMI Official

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PgMP Exam Simulator at 75% against PMI Official's 17%. PMI Official's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 2.3) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PgMP Exam Simulator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. PMI Official asks for nothing beyond the download.

PMI Official holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PMI Official has 415 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of PgMP Exam Simulator's written reviews are positive against 17% of PMI Official's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PgMP Exam Simulator ships an update every 2 months, PMI Official every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
