# PMI vs Program Management Exam Prep

PMI and Program Management Exam Prep are too close to call on the numbers: across 7 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. PMI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Program Management Exam Prep sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PMI ships an update every 3 months, Program Management Exam Prep every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on August 10, 2026 and July 6, 2026 respectively.
