# PieCloud vs SnipNote

The clearest difference is monetization model: PieCloud at free with in-app purchases against SnipNote's subscription. PieCloud also leads on ratings volume (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.3.2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PieCloud sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year and SnipNote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for PieCloud against 5.0 for SnipNote. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 1 respectively.

PieCloud ships an update every 3 weeks, SnipNote every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
