# CHANNEL8® vs Veracity

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CHANNEL8® at none against Veracity's 3. CHANNEL8® also leads on ratings volume (23 vs 2). Veracity's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Veracity sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. CHANNEL8® asks for nothing beyond the download.

Veracity holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CHANNEL8® has 23 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CHANNEL8® ships an update fortnightly, Veracity every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
