# Chessity vs Chessreps

The clearest difference is rating: Chessreps at 4.9 against Chessity's 3.0. Chessreps also leads on ratings volume (2.4K vs 2) and chart position (#186 vs unranked). Chessity's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chessity sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Chessreps sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chessreps holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chessreps has 2.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Chessity ships an update fortnightly, Chessreps every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
