# Hangar vs Metar Echo

The clearest difference is ads: Metar Echo at none against Hangar's shown. Hangar's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (18.2 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hangar sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Metar Echo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
