# GuChat vs Yomo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Yomo at none against GuChat's 10. Yomo also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). GuChat's advantage is ratings volume (227 vs 8) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GuChat sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Yomo asks for nothing beyond the download.

GuChat holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GuChat has 227 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of GuChat's written reviews are positive against 100% of Yomo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GuChat ships an update every 10 days, Yomo every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
