# Shape Transform vs Hero Transform

The clearest difference is rating: Shape Transform at 4.6 against Hero Transform's 4.0. Shape Transform also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (738 vs 86). Hero Transform's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 50%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shape Transform sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Hero Transform sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shape Transform holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shape Transform has 738 ratings behind it against 86, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Shape Transform's written reviews are positive against 67% of Hero Transform's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shape Transform ships an update every 3 weeks, Hero Transform every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
