# Balanced Bite vs Akly

The clearest difference is rating: Balanced Bite at 5.0 against Akly's 4.2. Akly's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 4 weeks) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Balanced Bite holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Akly has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Balanced Bite ships an update every 4 weeks, Akly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
